Anybody might be some sort of UK spy, and songs abound to disprove that. Set in an Irish brothel that serves as a one-night jail to a charming British soldier, The Hostage does have a lot of fun with its characters and their allegiances. The Hostage is a strong voice piece, but outside the context of the time in which it was written, the political situation being hashed out doesn't resonate too strongly with me as a reader, and so I feel something is lost in the final impact of its negative message about war and enmity. I don't usually read books on booknet so I didn't know where to find more info for the 3rd book then some how I was able to get to the comment section and find more information. It was so worth it!! When it ended I went searching for the 3rd book and couldn't find it anywhere I was having a panic attack because I couldn't find it anywhere. Wtf!!! Okay I was thinking early on the whole poly thing between the 3 of them but now this monkey wrench!!!
